Job summary

Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Logistics Project Manager to oversee the operational aspects of ongoing logistics programs and coordinate between program management, planning, and project teams. Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of logistics experience, including five (5) years of Navy Project Management involving Logistics Support Planning and Execution on surface combatant programs, and five (5) years of experience in logistics planning and execution activities supporting a surface combatant program/project office.
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience.
• Full working knowledge of program procedures and practices; ability to monitor daily work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees and provide direction to subordinates as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance; must be a U.S. citizen eligible for such clearance.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including extended stays in support of overseas customer engagements.
• Must possess a current passport.
• Must be able to obtain base access and a CAC card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing logistics program efforts and serve as liaison between program management and planning, and the project team.
• Review the status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and clients.
• Oversee logistics support planning and execution activities, including maintenance planning, supply support, and training, for surface combatant and other programs.
• Coordinate with shipyards, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and other subcontractors on materials and logistics support for ship alteration, repair, and overhaul work packages.
• Support configuration management activities documenting the current status of ships, systems, and equipment.
