Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking a senior logistics leader to oversee the Supply Department, directing administrative and technical supervision while planning, budgeting, and coordinating across the FYDP to ensure timely naval maintenance and deployment readiness.

You will manage complex budgets, policy planning, and program execution, engaging with NAVSEA, DLA, NAVSUP, and TYCOM to align logistics with mission objectives. Occasional travel and security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New DoD employees must pass E-Verify.
• Time-in-grade requirements apply for DoD positions.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to start.
• Must wear PPE as required and work in environments with potential hazards.

Responsibilities

• Exercise administrative and technical supervision over Supply Department subordinates.
• Plan work, set priorities, and prepare schedules for completion.
• Assign work based on priorities and employee capabilities.
• Approve multi-year and longer-range work plans and manage overall work.
• Direct fiscal management of organizational logistics operations.
• Direct formulation and management of the Supply Department operating budget (FYDP).
• Develop and manage organizational budgets across FYDP years.
• Analyze organizational structure and budgets to improve FYDP and DON forecast.
• Direct policy, program planning, and program execution for supply and material functions supporting naval mission.
• Oversee DON and DOD supply/logistics functions including contracting and government purchase card services.
• Communicate with NAVSEA, DLA, NAVSUP, TYCOM at senior levels.
