Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a program management analyst to prepare and coordinate plans for aircraft carrier-related programs. You will monitor costs, budgets, schedules and manpower, while supporting negotiations with customers and coordinating cross‑department resources.

You will analyze project impacts on engineering, facilities and labor pools, propose corrective actions, and help track timelines and progress across multiple work streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Equivalent to Bachelor's may be used as listed options to meet minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate plans and schedules for new or existing programs.
• Monitor costs, budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Support negotiations with customers and analyze effects on departments to determine resources.
• Suggest corrective actions such as schedule revisions and fund allocations.
• Represent Engineering in meetings with shipyard departments and present progress and timelines.
• Estimate hours to complete jobs and help progress work.
