Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks a Program Scheduler to plan and coordinate schedules for new and existing programs within the O69 Trades Administration. You will analyze costs, budgets and manpower needs, and support negotiations with customers to ensure feasible resource allocation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3 years of exempt experience; a Master's degree with related experience is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent.
• Master's Degree plus relevant experience is acceptable.
• Equivalent qualifications acceptable: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate; 2-year degree plus experience; military experience; high school with extensive manufacturing/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and coordinates plans and schedules for new or existing programs.
• Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Supports and participates in negotiations with customers.
• Analyzes effects of projects on Engineering, Facilities, and labor pools to obtain resources.
• Resolves proposal issues and assesses progress against plans.
• Formulates corrective actions such as schedule revisions and fund allocations.
