Job summary

Highway App, Inc. is seeking a Carrier Relations Specialist to engage carriers, respond to inquiries, and drive adoption of the Highway platform. You will build relationships with carriers through multiple channels and ensure high levels of service while supporting the app’s ongoing improvement.

The role involves coordinating with carriers, providing clear information, and maintaining responsiveness during peak times. Some remote/on-call hours after hours, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation industry, preferably brokerage carrier rep or manager.
• Excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Become a subject matter expert on Highway’s application.
• Highly responsive to carrier questions and provide top‑tier service.

Responsibilities

• Engages with carriers through multiple channels to obtain truck postings and submit freight quotes.
• Makes high volume outbound calls to build relationships with carriers.
• Responds promptly to carrier questions and issues with excellent service.
• Maintains Highway app by monitoring, analyzing and addressing issues.
• Suggests updates to the application to address bugs and improve operation.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and provides individual solutions for users.
• Implements process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Summarizes complex information in an easy-to-understand way.
• Manages multiple priorities and maintains timely internal/external communication.
• Builds lasting relationships with carriers and Highway app users.
• Role may involve remote and on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.

Role Description

Freight brokers put an incredible amount of trust in Highway and that trust will be extended to you. This role is responsible for engaging carriers and responding to inquiries to increase the adoption of Highway’s platform.

Your role:

• Engages with carriers through multiple different communication channels in order to get truck postings and submit freight quotes.
• Is making high volume outbound calls to create relationships with carriers.
• Highly responsive to carrier questions, concerns and ensures the highest level of customer service
• Maintains the service of Highway’s application through monitoring, analyzing and review of any issues.
• Makes and suggests updates to the application as required to address system bugs and issues and to ensure the accurate operation of the application.
• Other duties include troubleshooting technical problems and providing individual solutions for users of Highway’s application.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Summarize complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Demonstrate responsiveness in responding to internal and external communication with the ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.
• Builds lasting relationships with carriers and users of the Highway app
• This role does require some remote and “on‑call” after hours, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in the transportation industry, preferably at a brokerage as a carrier rep or manager.
• Comfortable making high volume outbound calls, connecting and making relationships with Carriers.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert on Highway’s application.
• Excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast paced and urgent environment.
• Highly organized with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities within a deadline driven atmosphere- demonstrating high critical thinking skills and ability to make business decisions under pressure.
