Job summary

West Coast Trans Alliance LLC is seeking a Carrier Compliance Specialist to lead fraud prevention efforts and ensure regulatory compliance. The role partners with Carrier Sales and Administrative teams, focusing on vetting policies, onboarding carriers, and audits to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include updating carrier agreements, maintaining documentation, audits for insurance coverage, and supporting claims in cooperation with Finance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and requirements.
• Highly organized with prior administrative experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively on the phone and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and vet carriers into TMS system; monitor compliance.
• Assist the Finance team with handling carrier-related claims and maintain records.

West Coast Trans Alliance is an asset-based freight brokerage dedicated to providing customized solutions to our client's logistic needs. We are looking for a dedicated Carrier Compliance Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for leading fraud prevention initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role will work in partnership with the Carrier Sales team and the Administrative team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Carrier Compliance:

• Create and maintain a strong Carrier Compliance Vetting Policy
• Ensure carrier vetting standards are compliant with federal and state regulations
• Maintain documentation and data of carrier vetting and any exceptions made
• Identity and correct any operational or compliance risks
• Conduct audits to ensure proper compliance with policies

Carrier Management

• Update carrier agreements as needed in partnership with the Administrative team
• Onboard and vet new carriers into TMS system
• Monitor RMIS database
• Complete audits on onboarded carriers to ensure compliance and proper insurance coverage

Claim Management:

• Assist the Finance team with handling any carrier related claims
• Complete and maintain carrier records

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and requirements
• Up to date on industry news and compliance changes
• Highly organized individual with prior administrative experience
• Ability to work with teams both remote and in-person
• Comfortable speaking on the phone
• Experience working in third party logistics preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits:

• $65,000-$70,000 base salary with ability to earn up to $5,000 in an Annual Bonus

• This role is M-F 0800-1700 or until work is complete.
