China Mobile International (USA) Inc. in Silicon Valley is seeking a driven Carrier Business Development Manager to expand our wholesale telecommunications business in the US market.

The role will acquire new carrier, ISP, data center, and enterprise-service-provider customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts. Strong network and industry contacts are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in carrier sales, wholesale telecommunications, international connectivity, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing large or complex telecom sales opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of international networks, subsea cable systems, IP services, data centers, cloud connectivity, and wholesale telecom products.
  • Existing relationships with carriers, ISPs, cloud providers, content companies, or large enterprise customers are strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience with pricing, margin analysis, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across commercial, technical, operational, financial, and legal teams.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Location Preferred: Greater LA or Bay Area

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities with telecommunications carriers, ISPs, data centers, system integrators, and other wholesale customers.
  • Promote connectivity solutions, including IPLC, IEPL, IP Transit, DIA, Ethernet, wavelengths, subsea capacity, colocation, cloud connectivity, and managed network services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, network planners, and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, pricing, proposal preparation, negotiation, contracting, and order closure.
  • Understand customers’ network requirements and coordinate with Product, Engineering, Network Planning, Legal, Finance, and Service Delivery teams to develop competitive solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, business cases, pricing applications, and internal approval requests.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, service-level commitments, contract periods, and other key conditions.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts, opportunity updates, and market intelligence.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and coordinate the resolution of commercial, delivery, billing, and service-related issues.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, networking events, and partner engagements.
  • Track competitor activities, market pricing, network developments, and emerging customer requirements.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, margin, order-booking, and customer-acquisition targets.

China Mobile International (USA) Inc. is looking for a driven and versatile Carrier Business Development Manager to develop and grow our wholesale telecommunications business in US market. This role will be responsible for acquiring new carrier, ISP, data center, and enterprise-service-provider customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts.
