Job summary

Philadelphia Commercial is seeking a creative Carpet Designer to join our Product Design team in Dalton, GA. You will research market trends, translate insights into innovative soft surface flooring concepts, and collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Manufacturing, and global partners to deliver products that meet performance and aesthetic goals.

You will develop visuals, color palettes, and patterns from ideation to manufacture, supporting marketing materials and product launches

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related design field.
2–5+ years of professional design experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial flooring, tufting, dyeing, and pattern development.
Ability to translate design trends and insights into commercial concepts.
Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across departments and global partners.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative soft surface flooring concepts aligned with brand strategy and product roadmap.
Create product visuals, color palettes, and pattern concepts from inspiration through launch.
Apply market research and customer insights to develop commercially relevant flooring solutions.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing, Innovation, and Sales to ensure design intent through development and production.
Support development of marketing materials, presentations, photography, and merchandising tools.
Present product concepts to leadership, customers, and partners.
Participate in customer tours, VOC sessions, focus groups, and industry events to validate direction.
Manage multiple projects with milestones and launch schedules.
Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced development environment.
