Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking a dependable Carpet Cleaning Technician for a temporary client-site role. You will clean carpets, remove stains, operate floor care equipment, and help prepare venues before and after events.

The position offers part-time hours with flexible weekends/holidays, a $15.16/hour pay range, PSST eligibility, and retirement plan participation. This role supports guest satisfaction and facility operations at event spaces.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets, rugs and upholstered surfaces with commercial equipment
• Remove stains, spots and odors using approved products
• Vacuum, spot-clean and maintain carpeting in event areas
• Set up and operate carpet extraction and floor care equipment safely
• Inspect carpets and report any damage or repairs needed
• Assist with event turnover by preparing venues before/after events
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in organized condition
• Follow safety procedures and company standards

Work Schedule: Part-Time; flexible availability required , weekends, and holidays if required.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Carpet Cleaning Technician to help maintain a clean, professional, and guest-ready event facility. This role is responsible for cleaning and restoring carpets, removing stains, maintaining floor care equipment, and ensuring event spaces are presented at the highest standard before, during, and after events.

*This is a temporary opportunity at one of our client sites. *

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered surfaces using commercial carpet cleaning equipment.
• Remove stains, spots, and odors using approved cleaning products and techniques.
• Vacuum, spot-clean, and maintain carpeting throughout event and common areas.
• Set up and operate carpet extraction, shampooing, and floor care equipment safely.
• Inspect carpets and flooring for damage and report repair needs.
• Assist with event turnover by preparing venues before and after events.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and storage areas in an organized condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards for cleaning operations.
• Support general housekeeping and facility maintenance as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support facility operations and guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of custodial, janitorial, or event setup experience.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for long hours, bend, squat, climb ladders, and lift 50+ pounds.
• Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills to assist guests and coordinate with other operations teams.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules

Education:

• High School Diploma, Preferred

Experience:

• 1+ year of Previous Experience, Preferred
