Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking a Janitor, Contracts to perform on-site cleaning duties at the assigned location (AbilityOne or Commercial Contracts) while meeting Goodwill’s standards.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30am to 2:00pm. Pay is $18.89 per hour, and employees may participate in benefits and Paid Time Off under the Service Contract Act guidelines.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year of janitorial experience preferred.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
Good communication with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.

Responsibilities

Work with a team to complete cleaning tasks.
Sweep and mop floors to keep facilities clean.
Clean buildings by trash removal and surface cleaning.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces.
Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Use cleaning agents to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Mix cleaning solutions as needed.
Clean windows, glass and mirrors.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces.
Apply wax and buff floors.
Strip and scrub floors.
Clean and service restrooms.
Move heavy items when required.
Identify and report repairs.
Monitor security and safety, lock doors after hours.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2:00pm (on-site)

The Janitor, Contracts will perform specific assigned janitorial duties on-site at the assigned location (AbilityOne or Commercial Contracts) while working to ensure Goodwill’s standards are met or exceeded.

In This Role You Will Perform These Essential Functions

Work with a team.
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Clean and disinfect surfaces.
Vacuuming/Shampoo clean carpets.
Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Mix various cleaning agents.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Apply wax to coat floors and buff.
Stripping and top scrubbing floors.
Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
May move heavy items such as furniture.
Identify and report possible repairs.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours.
Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers, and fellow employees.

Education

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

One (1) year of janitorial experience is preferred.

Background Requirements

Access.
