Job summary

IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL is seeking a skilled maintenance carpenter to support campus buildings and facilities. You will construct, repair, and maintain wooden structures, doors, cabinetry and fixtures while upholding safety standards.

The role requires prior carpentry experience in commercial or school environments, the ability to read drawings, operate hand and power tools, and to work days, nights, weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one.
• Prior carpentry experience in commercial, institutional, or school environments.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking practices and safe tool operation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, and maintain building structures, furniture, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wood or composite fixtures
• Perform repairs to drywall, framing, flooring, trim, and other interior/exterior finishes
• Inspect campus buildings to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns; complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Assure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively
• Assist with classroom, office, and facility modifications or refurbishments as needed
• Collaborate with maintenance and facilities staff to support broader campus projects
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student‑athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendors
• Other duties as assigned by management
