Job summary

Case Western Reserve University is seeking a skilled maintenance/carpentry specialist to repair, paint and maintain building interiors and exteriors, fixtures and furnishings across campus.

You will work from blueprints and specs, perform preventive maintenance, install and repair floors, doors, hardware, cabinetry and related systems while safely operating a wide range of tools; a strong team orientation and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven years of carpentry experience.
• High school education required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building components.
• Repair and install floors, ceilings, doors, hardware, and fixtures.
• Install and repair cove base, cabinetry, and furnishings.
• Replace glass in doors, windows, and partitions.
• Safely operate a range of tools and equipment.
• Maintain time and materials records and assist in other duties as needed.
• Transport equipment and materials as required by the job.
