Job summary

Morton Buildings is seeking construction crew members to join our team in a fast-paced environment. Under the crew foreman, you will learn safety procedures, read and build from plans, and operate tools to construct post-frame buildings.

Expect periods of 9–10 hour days, up to 40 feet heights, and occasional overnight travel. You will be eligible for a $2000 first-year bonus, plus a $500 quarterly bonus during your first year, paid weekly along with standard pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction/post-frame or carpentry preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Willingness to comply with safety processes and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Willingness to travel 25% (overnight travel up to two weeks).

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize tools and equipment to safely construct buildings.
• Dig and install footings, frame walls and roofs, install windows and doors, and apply siding/roofing materials.
• Collaborate with crew to maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
