Job summary

SageWater in Hawaii is seeking a Carpenter Mechanic to join our interior finishing team on high-rise condo repiping and renovations. You will deliver high-quality carpentry work on site, focusing on safe, organized job sites and adhering to project plans.

This full-time position supports growth and on-the-job development. The role requires 4+ years of carpentry experience, the ability to lift heavy loads, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of carpentry experience (finish carpentry preferred; rough or punch-out also considered).
  • Able to lift 50–100 lbs regularly.
  • Own basic carpentry hand tools.
  • 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish carpentry work, including trim, doors, vanities, and cabinetry.
  • Repair and replace interior structures damaged during projects.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other materials.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites.
  • Follow project plans and instructions.

About THIS OPPORTUNITY:

As a Carpenter Mechanic , you will work on interior finishing projects for high-rise condo repiping and renovations. Your primary focus is delivering high-quality carpentry work while maintaining a safe and organized job site. This position offers consistency, meaningful work, and long-term career growth – ideal for a skilled carpenter committed to excellence .

The Carpenter Mechanic role requires the demonstrated ability to work carefully, communicate effectively, follow safety protocols, and maintain a professional appearance. This role is intended to be a full-time hourly position, based at the job site, reports to the Project Lead, and works closely with the rest of the onsite team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Perform finish carpentry work, including trim, doors, vanities, and cabinetry
  • Repair and replace interior structures damaged during projects
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other materials
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
  • Follow project plans, review blueprinting, and instructions
  • Assist and collaborate with other trades on-site
  • Maintain, foster, and develop productive relationships including with co-workers, other departments, clients, subcontractors, and vendors

Key Requirements :
  • 4+ years of carpentry experience (finish carpentry preferred; rough or punch-out also considered)
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • Able to lift 50–100 lbs regularly

  • 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass background check and drug screening
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Must already reside in the state of Hawaii
  • Salary Range: $30 - $45 per hour based upon experience and qualifications
