Job summary

Probuilt Hawaii is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a team dedicated to quality craftsmanship on residential and commercial projects. You will perform skilled rough and finish carpentry, read blueprints, and contribute to safe, efficient project execution.

You will build framing, trim, doors, and cabinetry, while maintaining high workmanship and collaborating with seasoned professionals to meet schedules and standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two years of carpentry or general construction experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing, siding, trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, blocking, and other components.
  • Complete demolition, repairs, renovations, and remodeling work as needed.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and company standards.
  • Identify material needs, field issues, and safety concerns, and communicate them proactively.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Support and mentor less experienced team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project completion.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

Required Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of carpentry or general construction experience.
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
