Next 150 Construction Services is hiring a Carpenter Journeyman (Rough Carpentry) in Frederick, MD. The role focuses on basic installation of materials on construction sites and requires strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Salary ranges from $26.00 to $32.00 per hour with benefits and retirement program; a pre-employment substance abuse test may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of carpentry experience required.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 10 hour certified recommended (Next 150 Construction will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary).
• Proof of certificates, degrees, etc. upon hire.

• Install safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls and enclosures on job sites.
• Build planning tables.
• Hang safety signs.
• Cover holes or safety hazards.
• Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers.
• Hang shelving in job site trailers.
• Report safety incidents and injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader.
• Any scope of work outside listed must be approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management.

Overview

A Carpenter Journeyman performs basic installation of materials on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Install items related to job site safety and functionality including safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls, temporary enclosures, elevator protection, decks for construction trailers
• Build planning tables
• Hang safety signs
• Cover holes or open areas that are safety hazards
• Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers
• Hang shelving in job site trailers
• Report all safety incidents & injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader
• Any scope of work outside the above listed shall be planned, documented, and approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of carpentry experience required
