Job summary

Evergreen Contractors LLC is seeking a skilled journeyman carpenter to layout, install, repair, and finish structures and fixtures. You should read blueprints, measure accurately, and translate client requirements into durable builds.

This position is based in Albuquerque, NM, and requires on-site work handling various carpentry tasks. Candidates must have completed an apprenticeship or have equivalent field experience, a valid driver’s license, and OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Completion of recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Journeyman level Carpenter.
• Additional certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
• Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
• Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
• Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
• Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and list heavy objects.

Position Summary/General Description

Responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements.

A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills. You must have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field.

Essential Physical Requirements

• The job requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crawl, crouch/stoop, drive, hear, kneel, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk and repetitively use hands 51-10% of the time.
• The job requires the ability to push pull/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 1-50+lbs. 51-100% of the time.
• This job is performed indoors/outdoors with exposure to hot/cold temperatures, loud noises, and confined areas.
