Job summary

Anning-Johnson Company is seeking a Carpenter to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures in the Lorton, VA area and surrounding DC metro jobsites. The role requires 1 year of experience and physical ability to climb scaffolds, lift up to 100 pounds, and use carpenter tools in accordance with local codes.

Wage is $18 to $23 per hour, with production and quality expectations to meet client standards. Jobsite locations include Lorton, VA and various DC metro area sites.

Qualifications

• Preferred: experience with insulation, drywall, framing, drywall ceilings.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures using wood, metal, or wallboard.
• Operates carpenter's hand tools and power tools per local codes.
• Maintain production and quality to complete projects; follow safety practices.
• Physically capable of climbing scaffolds/ladders and lifting up to 100 pounds.

Job description

Carpenter: Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, metal, wallboard, etc., using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes. While maintaining the necessary production and quality required to complete a project and exceeding the customers' expectations. FT. 1 yr exp in various construction related jobs. Physically, carpenters must be able to: Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders; reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials; lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (either naturally or with correction).

Jobsite: Lorton, VA and various jobsites in Washington DC metro area.

Wages range from $18 to $23 per hour based on experience.
