Qualifications

Overview

The Carpenter Foreman performs basic installation of materials on a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate carpentry tasks according to priorities and plans
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to Superintendent
• Perform daily carpentry related tasks as required

Qualifications

Experience / Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience managing punch list items between different scopes of work preferred
• 2+ years experience leading construction crews preferred
• Experience with daily reporting and documenting worksite activities preferred
• Ability to read blueprint drawings preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Strong problem solving skills
• Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to work in a team environment
• OSHA 10 hour certified (will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary)

Salary and Benefits

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. This ranges from $30.80-$42.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
