Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Carpenter Journeyman to perform basic installation of materials on construction sites. The role involves installing safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls, and related safety measures, as well as mounting signs and shelving in job site trailers.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of carpentry experience. OSHA 10-hour certification is recommended and can be provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of carpentry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 10 hour certification is recommended; Next 150 Construction will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Install site safety items: safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls and enclosures, elevator protection, decks for trailers.
• Build planning tables and hang safety signs.
• Cover holes or hazards; mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers; hang shelving in trailers.
• Report safety incidents and injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader.
• Any other scope of work must be planned, documented, and approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management.

Responsibilities

• Install items related to job site safety and functionality including safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls, temporary enclosures, elevator protection, decks for construction trailers
• Build planning tables
• Hang safety signs
• Cover holes or open areas that are safety hazards
• Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers
• Hang shelving in job site trailers
• Reporting all safety incidents & injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader
• Any scope of work outside of they above listed, shall be planned, documented, and approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of carpentry experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA 10 hour certified recommended, (Next 150 Construction will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary)
• Proof of certificates, degrees, etc. upon hire

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to work in a team environment
