Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead basic installation tasks on a busy construction site in the Columbia area. You will supervise carpentry crews, coordinate tasks with project plans, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of construction experience, and the ability to read drawings, organize work, and report progress to the superintendent. OSHA 10-hour certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years construction experience preferred.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings and guide carpentry work.

Overview

The Carpenter Foreman performs basic installation of materials on a construction site.

• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to Superintendent
• Perform daily carpentry related tasks as required

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of construction experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Strong problem solving skills
• Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to work in a team environment
• OSHA 10 hour certified ( will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary)
