Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services is seeking a Carpenter Journeyman in Naples, FL to perform basic installation of materials on construction sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include installing safety rails, signage, and temporary structures, building planning tables, mounting Smartboards and TVs, and shelving in job site trailers.

A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years carpentry experience are required; OSHA 10 is recommended and assistance is available for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years carpentry experience
• OSHA 10-hour certification recommended; assistance provided if needed
• Proof of certificates/degrees upon hire

Overview

Responsibilities

• Install items related to job site safety and functionality including safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls, temporary enclosures, elevator protection, decks for construction trailers
• Build planning tables
• Hang safety signs
• Cover holes or open areas that are safety hazards
• Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers
• Hang shelving in job site trailers
• Reporting all safety incidents & injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader
• Any scope of work outside of they above listed, shall be planned, documented, and approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of carpentry experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA 10 hour certified recommended, (Next 150 Construction will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary)
• Proof of certificates, degrees, etc. upon hire

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to work in a team environment

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
