Grand Industrial and our Leiters Ford, Indiana job site is hiring Carpenters to support construction and installation projects across industrial job sites. This role is hands-on and requires strong layout, framing, and structural installation skills.

You will build, install, and repair structures using aluminum, steel, concrete and other materials, read blueprints, and safely operate hand and power tools on site.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Carpenter.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Cannot be afraid of heights.
• Weekend work required.
• Pass Pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair structures across industrial sites.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and building plans; prepare layouts and measure materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely; install fixtures and formwork.
• Erect scaffolding; place embeds; install windows, doors, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and architects as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and ensure quality checks on completed work.

Grand Industrial and our Leiters Ford, Indiana job site is hiring Carpenters to support construction and installation projects across industrial job sites. This role is hands-on and requires strong layout, framing, and structural installation skills.

Construction And Installation

• Build, install, and repair a variety of structures and fixtures.
• Work with aluminum, steel, concrete, and other materials.
• Erect concrete forms, plumb, level, and grade.
• Place embeds and rig large formwork.
• Install windows, doors, and other fixtures within steel structures.
• Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Install trim, moldings, and other finishing details.

Blueprint Reading And Layout

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
• Prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials needed.
• Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or instructions.

Tool Operation And Material Handling

• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate tools and machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Fasten materials with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
• Move necessary materials around the job site.

Safety And Quality

• Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.

Other Duties

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
• May operate equipment needed to place concrete.
• Work with other construction professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and architects.
• Perform minor calculations to assess load requirements and material dimensions.
• May be involved in demolition and maintenance of structures.

Requirements
