About the Role:

As a Carpenter specializing in commercial construction, you will play a critical role in the successful completion of large-scale building projects. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structures that meet rigorous safety and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure that all carpentry work aligns with project timelines and specifications. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing results. Ultimately, your work will contribute to creating functional, safe, and visually appealing commercial spaces that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter in commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with carpentry tools, materials, and safety standards.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a formal carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training program.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience with advanced carpentry techniques and commercial building codes.
  • Ability to operate power tools and machinery specific to commercial construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs construction, alteration, modification, and/ or repair of items needed for site
  • Working knowledge on repairing and/ or replacing structure as framework, doors, windows, screens, paneling, interior and exterior trim, as well as the installation of wood and steel joists
  • Work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
  • Train new employees in carpentry techniques and safety procedures.
  • Maintain records of materials, supplies, and equipment used on the job site.
  • Read blueprints and other technical documents to determine job requirements.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and shop drawings
  • Ability to finish concrete as needed
  • General jobsite clean-up as needed
  • Convey important site information to Site Superintendent
  • Communicate on a regular basis with Site Superintendent
  • Follow all company and or OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in Safety meetings and training as required
  • Participate in Good Catch Program and Near Miss Program
  • Ability to travel and work overtime and nights as necessary
Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience:
  • Proficient in carpentry techniques and tools
