The State of Hawaii's Department of Accounting & General Services seeks a Carpenter I to perform skilled rough and finished carpentry work on wood structures and wooden articles. This continuous recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill current and future vacancies.

Qualifications

  • FOUR (4) YEARS of work experience in performing a variety of ROUGH and FINISHED carpentry work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
  • Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation. The immediate vacancy has this requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work in construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles.
  • May supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers assisting in the work.
  • Fulfills other related duties as assigned.
