Job summary

State of Hawai'i, Department of Accounting & General Services, is seeking a Carpenter I in Honolulu to perform a wide variety of carpentry work, including construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork, on a regular basis.

The role may supervise Carpenter Helpers and other helpers; requires four years of experience in rough and finished carpentry, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift and carry varied weights.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK: The State of Hawaii Requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Experience and Training: FOUR (4) YEARS of work experience in performing a variety of ROUGH and FINISHED carpentry work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Lifting and Carrying: Applicants must be able to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
