Job summary

State of Hawai'i, Department of Accounting & General Services, is seeking a Carpenter I in Honolulu to perform a wide variety of carpentry work, including construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork, on a regular basis.

The role may supervise Carpenter Helpers and other helpers; requires four years of experience in rough and finished carpentry, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift and carry varied weights.

Qualifications

• FOUR (4) YEARS of work experience in performing a variety of rough and finished carpentry work, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Applicants must be able to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work in construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles as a regular and continuing work assignment.
• May supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers assisting in the work.
