Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced carpenter for construction projects in the United States. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, measuring materials, and assembling wood and metal formwork for concrete and structures.

The position requires 2+ years of field experience, ability to interpret instructions, and the use of common carpentry tools. Schedule is Mon-Thu with potential overtime; pay ranges reflect DOE and field conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Understands concepts, practices and procedures in the carpentry field.
• Able to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Builds wooded structures, such as stairs, forms, scaffolds and supports per blueprints or instructions.
• Examines blueprints or plans to determine materials and dimensions.
• Loads, hauls and prepares materials for work site.
• Prepares layout and marks cutting lines on materials.
• Measures and shapes materials to required sizes using hand tools.
• Verifies accuracy of structure with levels and measuring tools.
• Follows safety practices and uses common carpentry tools as listed.
• Erects scaffolding and installs ladders, rails, platforms and gangways.
• Installs pre-fabricated window frames, doors and trim as required.
• Dismantles forms and assists in setting anchor bolts.
