Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking dedicated Carpenters/Form Setters to build and set forms for concrete structures on highway, road, and bridge projects. You will work with a team to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality in formwork, aligning with blueprints and project specifications.

The role requires 3+ years of carpentry experience in structural forms, owning your hand tools, and the ability to read plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of carpenter experience in structural forms (Symon, EFCO, Wood) for CIP.
• Advanced wood forming experience.
• Must provide your own hand tools (hammer, pouch, level, 8” crescent wrench, tape measure).
• Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (standing, bending, lifting, etc.).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Construct, brace, and secure forms for concrete structures such as walls, pipes, and bridges.
• Build, align, and secure structure forms for concrete placement.
• Set and brace forms for retaining walls, bridges, and other components.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, sketches, and blueprints to ensure accurate formwork.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and assemble form materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other related duties to support project needs.
