Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to prepare, pour, place, and finish concrete structures. You will build and set forms for floors, walls, columns, tilt-wall structures, and site work, ensuring elevations and alignment per drawings.

You will also assist with reinforcing steel and concrete placement while maintaining safety standards. The role requires reading drawings, precise form work, and strong communication to coordinate with foremen and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms using various materials and systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with signaling concrete deliverers to position trucks for pouring.
• Observation and compliance with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
