WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a Division of Tuff Shed, the industry leader in storage buildings, is currently looking for aCarpenter - Flooring at our Plant in Bastrop, TX. We're looking for motivated and team oriented individuals!

The Carpenter, Flooring is based at the manufacturing plant in Bastrop, TX, and has overall responsibility for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques, while adhering to safety and production standards and meeting customer specifications.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of flooring materials
• Reads and interprets floor plans, blueprints, and other architectural diagrams to understand the layout and characteristics of a space
• Measures the installation area and cutting material to the correct size
• Uses various tools and equipment to properly install flooring, including carpet stretchers, knee kickers, and heat seamers for carpet installation; tile spacers, tile cutters, and grout for tile installation; or power saws, nail guns, and sanders for hardwood or laminate installation
• Inspects final products to ensure they are defect-free and meet customer satisfaction
• Wears appropriate protective gear and ensures safety procedures are followed
• Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace
• Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following:
• Erector/Siding
• Electrical
• Flooring
• Framing
• Press/Rafting
• Ramps/Accessories
• Roofing
• Small Structures
• Trusses
• Vinyl

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Common knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well as a member of the team
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at least 100 feet
