WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a division of Tuff Shed, the industry leader in storage buildings, is currently looking for a Carpenter - Painting/Trim at our plant in Barstrop, TX. We are seeking motivated and team-oriented individuals!

The Carpenter, Painting/Trim, is based at the manufacturing plant in Bastrop, TX, and is responsible for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques, while adhering to safety and production standards and meeting customer specifications.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Installing and repairing molding and trim on windows, doors, baseboards, mantels, and other ornamental pieces.
• Ensuring accurate measurements and precision to achieve a seamless and aesthetic finish.
• Reading, interpreting, and following complex blueprints and building plans.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, such as squares, rules, and chisels.
• Working with materials such as wood, vinyl, fiberglass, and metal.
• Fitting and installing window frames and interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level.
• Finishing surfaces of woodwork using paint and hand tools.
• Verifying the trueness of structures with a carpenter's level.
• Wearing appropriate protective gear and following safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to safety protocols.
• Assisting in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including:

• Erector/Siding
• Electrical
• Flooring
• Framing
• Press/Rafting
• Ramps/Accessories
• Roofing
• Small Structures
• Trusses
• Vinyl

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of hand and power tools
• Effective communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to paint
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly over a distance of 100 feet
