Job summary

Archer Western Construction - The Walsh Group in Triangle, VA is seeking a Carpenter to construct, erect and install wooden structures for heavy civil projects. You will work with MEVA/DOKA/Symons forms and use hand and power tools on busy jobsites. This role requires 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a drug test, and maintain safety on site.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience with MEVA, DOKA, and Symons forms preferred.
• Experience using fall protection and climbing formwork and rebar.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; able to work in adverse weather.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures per prefabricated units.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for slabs.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
