Job summary

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Bud Ervin WTP Phase V Expansion Package #3 in Mansfield, TX. The Carpenter builds and installs wooden structures for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects using hand tools, power tools and machinery.

Responsibilities include preparing, measuring, and erecting structures; maintaining safety policies; and working with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather.
• Comply with safety policies; communicate effectively with crew.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measure distance and mark guidelines on working surface.
• Prepare, build, and install wooden structures per prefabricated units.
• Assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Use carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
