Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Hutto South WWTP Expansion in Hutto, TX. The Carpenter builds and installs wooden structures for heavy civil projects using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.

The role offers opportunities to work across the U.S. in Building, Transportation and Water Divisions, with emphasis on safety, reliability and career advancement. Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffolds/ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Measure distance and mark guidelines for layout.
• Prepare, build and install wooden structures per prefabricated units.
• Assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Use carpenter's belt with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machines.
