Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a Carpenter to join our commercial construction team. You will build rough wooden structures and formwork according to sketches or blueprints, while following safety protocols.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of carpenter experience in commercial construction, be comfortable working at heights, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. A drug-free work environment is required, and you must supply your own basic tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred. Experience with vertical and horizontal concrete forms, and gang forms preferred.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
• Must be able to provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch.
• May be required to work in outside all weather conditions
