Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Organize and complete carpentry-related tasks at construction projects.
  2. Complete rough carpentry work, site logistical work, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, construction waste areas, and jobsite cleanup.
  3. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements.
  4. Erect scaffolding and ladders, as needed.
  5. Install structures and fixtures including but not limited to windows, frames, floorings, trim, and hardware.
  6. Review jobsite needs with superintendents and foremen, and coordinate construction.
  7. Estimate, inventory, monitor, and request time, staff, materials, and equipment needed to complete work.
  8. Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactor, and construction hoist.
  9. Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  10. Inspect tools and power tools for safety and proper functioning.
  11. Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  12. Travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
  13. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  14. Display teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership.
  15. Perform other activities and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of carpentry experience.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of construction surveying.
  • Ability to interpret project drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, foundations, and framing.
  • Basic arithmetic and geometry skills applicable to carpentry.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work independently and accommodate night and weekend work.
  • Understand safety instructions and signage.
  • Clear communication skills, especially in emergencies.
