Aerotek is seeking a skilled Carpenter for projects across the greater Cleveland area, including Lorain/Elyria, Akron/Canton, and Mentor. The role involves rough and finish carpentry on commercial buildings, with metal and wood stud framing, precise measuring, and timely project completion.
Responsibilities include framing, wall partitions, trim installation, ceiling grid work, and collaboration with other trades.
This role involves working as a commercial carpenter on projects across the greater Cleveland area, including Lorain/Elyria, Akron/Canton, and Mentor. You will contribute to the construction of commercial buildings such as apartment complexes and retail or office spaces, performing both rough and finish carpentry. Typical work includes metal and wood stud framing, precise measuring and cutting, and completing high-quality finish carpentry to meet project specifications and timelines.
Perform rough carpentry on commercial construction projects, including framing and structural work.
Install and assemble metal stud framing and wood stud framing for walls and partitions.
Join established framing crews and immediately contribute to wall framing without needing to perform layout.
Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately according to blueprints, specifications, and site requirements.
Complete finish carpentry tasks such as installing trim, doors, and other detailed woodwork as needed.
Assist with installation of grid and tile ceilings when required by the project.
Follow construction plans and directions from site leadership to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, handling tools and materials responsibly.
Work reliably and consistently, arriving on time and completing assigned tasks within project schedules.
Collaborate with other trades and crew members to support efficient and coordinated project completion.
At least 2 years of experience in commercial carpentry.
Hands-on experience with metal stud framing on commercial projects.
Ability to join a framing crew and immediately begin framing walls without needing to perform layout.
Proficiency in rough carpentry, including basic structural framing tasks.
Experience with both metal and wood stud framing.
Ability to accurately measure, mark, and cut construction materials.
Capability to perform finish carpentry tasks to a professional standard.
Strong reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work safely on active construction sites.
Finish carpentry experience, including trim and detailed woodwork, is a plus.
Experience installing grid and tile ceilings is a plus.
Previous work on commercial buildings such as apartments, retail, and office spaces is beneficial.
Familiarity with working across multiple job sites within a regional area is advantageous.

The environment is fast-paced and physically active, requiring frequent standing, lifting, and use of power and hand tools. You will work as part of a framing crew and collaborate closely with other trades in typical construction site conditions, following all safety guidelines and using appropriate protective equipment.
This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $45.00/hr.
