GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a skilled carpenter to measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials for building frameworks. You will construct walls, floors, and doorframes, inspect and replace damaged components, and guide laborers on site.
You will participate in kaizen and 5S lean activities, supporting continuous improvement while maintaining safety and teamwork. The role requires formal training and journeyman credentials, with a strong manufacturing background.
Under general supervision measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
Work in a lean team environment with the ability and willingness to support multiple disciplines and assist with other trade-related tasks as required. Participate in kaizen events, 5S efforts, and other lean activities as needed to support continuous improvement. Demonstrate a positive attitude, open-minded approach, and ability to work as part of a team.
The hourly base pay range for this position is $35.68 to $43.89. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases.
The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
