Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an experienced Carpenter to design, construct, and repair structures on diverse projects. You will perform building construction, maintenance, and repairs with wood, steel, masonry and related materials, guided by blueprints and project plans.

Attention to detail and independent work are essential to succeed on fast-paced sites. Responsibilities include inspecting for defects, estimating materials and costs, and ensuring timely completion while upholding safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of carpentry, building construction, or related experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and extensive experience with power tools.
• Proficient in reading blueprints or shop drawings.
• OSHA 10-hour certification, or the ability to obtain within one month.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and repair structures using wood, steel, masonry, and other materials.
• Complete building construction, maintenance, and repair projects as needed.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials for defects and repair as needed.

As a Carpenter you are responsible for designing, constructing, and repairing structures. This role will complete building construction, maintenance, and repair projects as needed, using a variety of materials, such as wood, steel, masonry, etc. Projects to include, but are not limited to, doors, hardware, trim, and drywall. This role will also inspect equipment, structures, and materials for defects to identify issues, and repair as needed, use blueprints to prepare project layouts and determine materials needed for current and future projects and prepare estimates of project cost, logistics, and timeline for completion. Critical for success is the ability to give attention to detail and work well independently.

What it takes:

• 5+ years of carpentry, building construction, or related experience
