Job summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, delivering patient meals, helping patients understand menu selections, assembling and delivering trays, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This full-time role requires customer service experience and a willingness to work 6:30 am–6:30 pm with rotating weekends at Effingham Hospital in Springfield, GA.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, preferences, or dietary needs.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Follow infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly reports per Morrison policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
