Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, MA is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician to support nurses and patients with essential care, comfort and safety. This role trains in basic clinical tasks and collaborates with the care team to ensure timely, high‑quality patient services.

You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, nutrition, and documentation under RN supervision, with opportunities to grow toward more advanced clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or aspire to healthcare.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs collection and monitoring.
• Height and weight measurement.
• Oxygen saturation measurement.
• Report all unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis.
• Record and measure intake and output.
• Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with nutrition needs including room service setup and feeding.
