Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to prepare meals and snacks in accordance with resident diets and dietary guidelines. The role reports to the Housing Manager and requires adherence to safety, sanitation, and training requirements.

Responsibilities include menu review, meal preparation, serving, and ensuring on-time service. The position involves working every other weekend with a suite of health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to follow directions and perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to relate work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.

Responsibilities

• Review Menus prior to preparation of food.
• Receive deliveries and check receipts against specifications and orders.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets per policy.
• Prepare all snacks.
• Follow sanitation and safety techniques in operation and cleaning of all equipment.
• Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, in-service training programs.
