Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting residents, obtaining requested items, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with the team. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required; a Food Handlers Card is needed by 30 days after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preference given to candidates with at least six months experience in the food service industry.
• Must have Food Handlers Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Must speak, understand, read and write English.
• Union contract terms require dues deduction for Laborers’ Local 942.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with general information and inquiries.
• Obtain products requested by residents.
• Wash dishes and utensils; maintain clean dining and kitchen areas.
• Prepare various food items following standard sanitation procedures.
• Stock storage areas and serve meals to residents.
• Support safe and effective food service operations and safety programs.
• Occasionally assist cooks with food preparation and cooking.
