Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Cook for Pioneer Home in Anchorage, AK. You will prepare, produce and present a variety of foods for an assisted living kitchen, following production sheets and health standards.

You will supervise food service activities, train staff, monitor FIFO and sanitation, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations. TB screening and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Alaska Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least one year of general food service experience.
• Immunizations: TB records or willingness to vaccinate.
• Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Performs all main line food production duties.
• Prepares food per par level sheets and standards.
• Reviews daily needs with supervisor; completes production sheets.
• Ensures quantity/quality control and sanitation.
• Assists in training food service personnel.
• Oversees serving lines and ensures items stocked.
• Observes FIFO procedures for all food items.
• Follows HACCP and sanitation logs.
• Supports an active safety program.
• May assist other staff; other duties as assigned.
