Job summary

Oakmont of Burlingame is a premier senior living community operated by Oakmont Management Group, offering five-star services and individualized support for residents. The Server role contributes to an exceptional dining experience, serving residents, families, and visitors with courtesy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include taking orders into the POS, setting up and clearing tables, and maintaining a safe dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.
• May require vaccination and PPE as per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Set up and break down bus tables.
• Adhere to serving techniques and etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing between courses).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and residents.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperation with coworkers and other departments.
