Job summary

Oakmont of Fair Oaks is seeking a Server to provide friendly, courteous dining service to residents, families, and visitors. You will take orders, enter them into the POS, set up and clear tables, and uphold safety and service standards in alignment with Oakmont Management Group's mission.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a genuine desire to care for the elderly. Training is provided; candidates must be at least 16 with a work permit and able to pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety, vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
