Job summary

Siemens Energy in Puerto Rico seeks a development professional to identify and advance gas-turbine based power projects across Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean Islands. You will work with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and stakeholders to shape opportunities from concept through early commercial structuring.

The role requires 3+ years in power generation project development in Latin America, fluency in Spanish and English, and readiness to travel 60–80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in power generation project development within Latin America, with exposure to PR/DR/Caribbean.
• Strong understanding of power markets, utilities, IPPs, and energy infrastructure opportunities from concept to commercial structuring.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; willingness to travel 60–80% across the region.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support development of gas turbine–based power generation opportunities across PR, DR, and the Caribbean.
• Engage utilities, IPPs, industrial customers, EPCs, and stakeholders to advance project opportunities.
• Assess project value drivers, regulatory considerations, and commercial frameworks for development strategies.
• Contribute to project shaping, including technology positioning and early-stage opportunity structuring.
• Monitor market, regulatory, and investment developments in the region to identify opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate with Sales, Applications Engineering, Government Affairs, and local management.
