Job summary

Croix, and St. John. The ideal candidate has a Bachelors in HR/Business Admin, 3–5 years in a managerial HR role, and experience in construction. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. This is an in-office position located in St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years in a managerial HR role with staff oversight.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• HR certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Willingness to travel between islands.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Virgin Islands J. Benton HR team and other departments to support company-wide initiatives and projects including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, promote consistency, and support a positive and productive workplace culture.
• Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to selection, and assist with interviews as needed.
• Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Support and advise management on HR-related issues, ensuring adherence to labor laws.
• Assist with employee benefits including open enrollment and answering general questions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of HR strategies / initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Monitor and improve HR metrics such as turnover, employee satisfaction, and time-to-hire.
• Analyze HR data and trends to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
