Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM in Dallas is seeking a Cargo Warehouse Handler to receive, store, build up pallets, break down, and distribute freight in a safety-conscious environment.

You will read manifests, move cargo with forklift, and ensure accuracy of counts while adhering to all company policies. The role requires a strong work ethic, English proficiency, and the ability to pass security and background checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English and basic math.
• Current driver’s license with no violations in the past 5 years.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
• All hires must undergo security clearances (10-year criminal background check), 5 years employment and educational verification, drug screen and physical test.
• Shift: Second shift and overnight with weekends mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Reads air waybill, bills of landing, or freight manifest to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or transporter.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to other locations.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers for break down; records count of items received or distributed.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.

Role Purpose

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Cargo Warehouse Handling team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, building up Pallets , braking down , and distributing freight while practicing all Company’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to: wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
